HERS - Haliburton Emergency Rural SafeSpace

HERS is a unique approach to providing temporary emergency accommodations for women and their children who are fleeing abuse. Length of stay is flexible.

The SafeSpace is a private, safe and comfortable place, designed for independent single-family living with access to support staff. HERS is wheelchair accessible.

  • You feel that you and your children are ready to leave and wish to go to a safe place in Haliburton county.

Women who are not safe to stay in Haliburton County can stay at Crossroads Shelter.
