Community Gardens

What are they?

A Community Garden is a place where families, groups or individuals get together to grow their own vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers.

Who can become involved?

Everyone who wants to garden, from beginners

to experts.

What are the costs involved?

Each plot is rented for $5.00 for the season.

What are the roles and responsibilities of members?

Participants save money by growing their own fresh and nutritious produce            All members share garden      

        responsibilities, such as preparing   

        the gardens for rototilling, spreading  

        compost, straw and manure, and

        keeping their plots free of weeds.

What are the benefits of being involved in a community garden?

  • Allows participants to save money by growing their own fresh and nutritious produce
