YWCA Tag Days

The YWCA holds a Tag Day fundraiser 5 times a year. Our dedicated volunteers stand outside local businesses for 2 ½ hours and collect donations while handing out service cards. All money raised from Tag Day events support our Crossroads Shelter and Food Action programs.

For more information, please call the Special Events Coordinator at 705-743-3526, ext. 116. To volunteer for Tag Days, call our Volunteer Coordinator at 705-743-3526, ext. 130 or email hmead@ywcapeterborough.org.

YWCA Tag Day Volunteers pause for a photo outside of the YWCA's Admin Office on August 20th, 2010.

YWCA Tag Day volunteer Tony exclaims that in all of his years volunteering and fundraising, he has never EVER had a lineup of people waiting to give him money like they did for the YWCA May Tag Days.

“People were so nice and generous. They had wonderful things to say

about the YWCA."

Third Party Events

A great way to support the YWCA is to donate the proceeds of an event that you run. Friends in the community raise money in many different ways, including fashion shows, coffee houses, musicals, plays and even garage sales. Let us know about your event and we can help you promote it!

Call the Special Events Coordinator at 705-743-3526, ext. 116 for more information.
